Who they are
Vultr set out to capitalize on the idea that platform engineering is a decisive discipline in the race to deliver AI-era compute capacity.
What they needed
They needed to kickstart and own a new platform engineering narrative focused on compute, AI infrastructure, and agentic platforms, rather than the industry’s fixation on app development.
How it changed
Vultr emerged as an industry-leading neo-cloud by aligning its story, and its strategy, with what platform engineers actually care about, and need to deliver.
The challenge
Vultr, a long established enterprise infrastructure provider, wanted to redefine its market position as it entered the fast growing world of AI driven enterprise workloads. After more than a decade of serving global businesses, the company had launched a new brand identity and had to connect this transformation to a credible narrative, repositioning Vultr as a thought leader at the intersection of AI and platform engineering.
The playbook
01
Define thought leadership plan
We began by mapping how AI and platform engineering were converging across our ecosystem. It was clear that enterprise teams were starting to treat AI workloads as core components of their platform strategies. Together with Vultr, we identified the opportunity to lead that conversation and developed the concept for the State of AI in Platform Engineering research series.
02

Validate assumptions & create content
Our research team designed a dedicated global survey targeting senior engineers, and infrastructure executives. We gathered 100s of replies that highlighted emerging patterns in AI adoption and platform integration.
Our content team translated the findings into a comprehensive report supported by data visuals, executive insights, and practical recommendations for enterprise leaders.
03

Execute on distribution & impact pipeline
We launched the State of AI in Platform Engineering report with coordinated announcements across newsletters, social channels, and partner media. The campaign positioned Vultr as the leader shaping how enterprises think about AI enablement.
Follow up webinars and interviews with Vultr experts extended the conversation and deepened engagement with enterprise audiences.
