About
Vultr
Vultr is a global cloud infrastructure provider serving enterprises across 30+ locations worldwide. With a new brand identity and a strategic push into AI-driven enterprise workloads, Vultr is repositioning as a leading neo-cloud at the intersection of compute, AI infrastructure, and platform engineering.
The challenge
Vultr had more than a decade of experience serving global enterprises and had just launched a new brand identity, but needed to connect that transformation to a credible narrative in a fast-moving market. The challenge was to reposition Vultr as a thought leader at the intersection of AI and platform engineering, owning the conversation around how enterprises move from cloud-native to AI-native infrastructure.
Thought leadership and operational excellence

Community survey to validate the narrative
We ran a dedicated survey across the platform engineering community to validate the narrative before publication. 152 qualified responses from senior engineers and infrastructure executives confirmed that 94% of organizations see AI as critical to platform engineering's future.

The playbook
Positioning

Owning the cloud-native to AI-native narrative
We mapped how AI and platform engineering were converging across our ecosystem and identified that enterprise teams were starting to treat AI workloads as core components of their platform strategies. Together with Vultr, we developed the "cloud-native to AI-native" positioning and built the State of AI in Platform Engineering research series as the vehicle to own that conversation.
Content creation

Building the definitive narrative on AI-native infrastructure
We ran a community survey to validate the "cloud-native to AI-native" thesis, then translated the findings into the State of AI in Platform Engineering report, featuring Vultr's dedicated section.
